MEET OUR STAFF
Marcia Waddell, Area Supervisor
Marcia first started out with Wee Watch as a Provider over 7 years ago. Recently she has taken over as the Area Supervisor of the Cambridge location. While her roles have changed, her desire to see each child succeed and reach their full potential remains the same. She plays a supportive role to both our Providers and Families. She welcomes your questions and looks forward to sharing with you all that Wee Watch has to offer you and your family.
Amanda Kelly, R.E.C.E, Home Visitor
Amanda comes with many years of childcare experience. Her love for learning and teaching makes her an asset to the company. She performs unscheduled, monthly visits to the Provider’s homes to ensure ongoing child safety and development. A report is given to parents after each visit. She also provides resources and support to both parents and providers. Her main role is to ensure that all of our Wee Watch homes are safe, warm, active, nurturing, educational and last but not least, FUN!
OUR PROVIDERS
Wee Watch takes pride in the level of care that our Providers offer children each day.
Their love and dedication to ensure that each child receives the best possible beginning is what sets them apart from the rest. Our Wee Watch homes become the children’s “Home Away From Home”.
Each Provider must complete proper training and screening before they begin care with us, in accordance to the licensing requirements. Each Provider is first screened with an in-home interview. If after meeting with them, we believe that they would be an asset to our team, we continue with the screening. The interview is then followed by the Wee Watch Situational Survey, a site safety check, and a medical/immunization record on each family member. Pets must be vaccinated and updated yearly.
We request both personal and business references. We require that each adult over the age of 18 in the home have a Criminal Record Check as well as a Family Service Check. Each adult in the home also completes our “Behavior Management” training. All Providers must have First Aid/CPR training. This is offered through the agency each year. This information must be completed and submitted to the Office before a Provider begins care.
Our Providers are also committed to ongoing training. They participate in workshops, training programs and conferences that are held through the year to further enhance their skills.
